Adidas Women’s UltraBOOST X Running Shoes
At the pinnacle of sport-proven performance and stylish design stands the Ultraboost X. Designed using motion capture technology for an improved fit, these women’s neutral running shoes are built to flex with your foot’s natural movement. A sock-like Adidas Primeknit upper wraps around your foot and conforms to every footstrike, while an adaptive arch and dual-density heel counter offer targeted support for a stable stride. The Boost midsole powers every step with energy-returning cushioning.
Primeknit Upper
The upper of the Adidas Ultra Boost X is constructed with Primeknit. While sports shoes are usually made from many separate pieces, the Primeknit method digitally knits the entire upper in just one piece. Knitting fused yarn allows Adidas to fine-tune the exact amount of flexibility and support needed in every part of the shoe. This means lightweight comfort that wraps seamlessly around your foot, whilst fewer materials produce less waste. Primeknit also offers great breathability, ensuring the feet are kept cool and dry throughout a run. A Dual-Density 3D Heel Counter has been placed on this shoe. This is specifically designed for a woman’s foot and will help to provide much-needed stability around the heel area and at the same time allows for optimal movement of the Achilles. A reinforced fabric has been strategically placed around the lacing system which will provide a more secure and supportive fastening. The woven cuff which fits around the lower ankle area provides a sock-like fit and works with the woven upper to block out loose debris and dirt.
BOOST Midsole
Adidas take cushioning to new heights, with their ultra-responsive midsole: Boost. Tiny TPU capsules are moulded together to form a platform that is different to standard, solid foams; absorbing energy and then expelling it back out for a bounce-like effect. This energy return technology reduces the use of superfluous muscle power, diminishing fatigue and enhancing performance; keeping you going for longer. The plush, responsive cushioning will spare your joints as you sprint down onto hard, unforgiving concrete. Boost also manages to maintain its special function and bounce in conditions as low as -20 degrees, making it a reliable, durable and hard-to-beat midsole. The adaptive ‘floating arch’ area moulds to the wearer’s individual foot shape to offer a unique compression fit, therefore, providing a secure and superbly comfortable wear.
StretchWeb Outsole
The midfoot Torsion System exists to let the forefoot and rearfoot move independently; the result is protection, control and an easy heel-to-toe transition. Manufactured from Continental rubber, a StretchWeb outsole completes the UltraBOOST X. Its web-like structure cooperates with Boost to allow the shoe to stretch, for a flexible and lightweight underfoot feel. The web pattern also means a large surface area, and this means better grip. Inspired by tyre technology, Continental rubber supplies traction on wet and dry surfaces, giving you no excuse not to run. The outsole is designed to be just as durable as the Boost midsole, leaving you with a resilient, cushioned and grippy running shoe.
